The rumors died down.
The State Department's position on the issue of providing airports to the United States came to the fore.
There is no US military or airport in Pakistan. No such suggestion has been considered. Any speculation on this issue is baseless and irresponsible and should be avoided.
Pakistan and the United States have had a framework for cooperation since 2001 on the Airline of Communications (ALOC) and the Ground Lines of Communication (GOL).
Annie Deo !!! Who doesn't give a biscuit to a guest with tea, and will give a base to America?
In my personal opinion (maybe wrong) this was the main topic of the important meeting of the civil and military leadership at the ISI headquarters.
Imran Khan has sat in the United States and said that in the past Pakistan has done wrong by supporting the United States.
Imran Khan, while in opposition, also blocked US NATO supplies by protesting in KPK.
He was also called Talib-e-Khan because he was anti-American.
He is unwilling to give up, but the military leadership may want to, because the Pakistani establishment is unwilling to allow the United States to withdraw from Afghanistan any time soon. The goal is to protect Pakistan's long-standing interests.
Pakistan's role is to prevent the balance of power from deteriorating. Giving full power to either the United States or the Taliban is detrimental to Pakistan, so the environment is kept such that both need Pakistan.
Hopefully, our civil and military leadership has decided in the wider interest of the country.
