According to the details, the prices of chicken are declining across the country due to which the price of chicken in Peshawar has come down by Rs 10 per kg while the price of live chicken has reached Rs 231.

Sources said that after the ban on supply to Afghanistan, the prices of poultry have started falling.

In this regard, the chicken dealer says that due to the ban on Afghan exports, the prices of chicken have come down.

The chicken dealer says that 100,000 kg of Afghan chicken was exported daily to Peshawar.

The chicken dealer added that the price of chicken is likely to come down further.

It may be mentioned that chicken meat has become cheaper by Rs 15 per kg in Lahore due to which the price of chicken meat has come down from Rs 335 to Rs 320 per kg.

According to sources, farm eggs have gone up by Rs 3 to Rs 148 a dozen.

It may be recalled that due to reduction in demand for chicken among the citizens, the prices have come down. Apart from this, a full-fledged campaign is also underway on social media against the price of chicken. During the last five days, chicken meat has become cheaper by Rs 124 per kg.

It should be noted that chicken meat is being sold at Rs 440 to 460 per kg in Shar-e-Quaid, while the official price of chicken meat is Rs 214.

It may be recalled that poultry farms across Pakistan are facing a disease called 'reza' due to which the people are buying chickens by cutting them and the shopkeepers who are not cutting chickens in front are not buying meat.

In this regard, the spokesman of the Pakistan Association said that the disease disappears with time.

Marood Siddiqui added that the disease occurs in Pakistan every year
