Private TV has reported that according to a foreign news agency, Microsoft Corporation investigated the two-decade-long relationship with an employee of Bill Gates in 2019, when Bill Gates tried to establish a romantic relationship with the said employee.
The board reconsidered the case, but the investigation failed after Bill Gates resigned, and an outside law firm was hired to investigate.
According to the report, Microsoft received a letter in mid-2019 stating that Bill Gates wanted to have an illicit relationship with an employee in the year 2000. According to a statement issued by Microsoft, The committee reviewed the matter and conducted a full investigation with an outside firm, during which Microsoft provided full support to the employee.
The investigation revealed that Bill Gates' interest in the female employee was unreasonable, on the basis of which Microsoft's directors decided to remove him from office last year. Microsoft did not provide further details on the investigation.
It may be recalled that in March last year, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates announced that he was stepping down to give time to public service work.
